Leanne is a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Homeroom Counseling. Leanne has worked with young people in almost every place you can find them, this includes high schools, juvenile detention centers, inpatient behavioral hospitals, pediatric centers, and private practice. Leanne specializes in the “stuck” teen, the one experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or recovery from trauma.
Leanne does more than standard talk-therapy, she prioritizes sessions where you can actually move. Whether it’s hitting the high score on Pac-Man, getting creative with art, taking it to the pavement for a walk, or literally letting it all out on a punching bag, she meets you where you're at. She has an emotion focused, humanistic approach in therapy, and prioritizes making sure teens successfully progress through their developmental phases.
Leanne is a Texas certified supervisor and takes great pride in training the next generation of mental health professionals. She graduated with a Master's of Social Work with a concentration in Child and Family Welfare from the University of Utah.
